Information we collect

zerrahomes.in is operated by Zerra Homes LLP. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the data fiduciary for the information described below, which means we decide why and how it is handled and we are answerable to you for it.

We collect what we need to take your order and get it to you, and not more than that.

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Billing and delivery addresses
• Your order history and the status of each payment — the payment itself is handled by our payment partner
• Anything you send us: support emails, WhatsApp messages, reviews, and photographs or unboxing videos supporting a claim
• Basic technical information as you browse — device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies

We never ask for and never hold your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials.

How we use your information

• To process your payment, pack your order, hand it to a courier and deliver it
• To send you order confirmations, dispatch notices, tracking and refund updates
• To answer your questions and investigate damage, delay or refund claims
• To send new arrivals and offers, only if you have subscribed to hear from us
• To verify Cash on Delivery orders, prevent fraud, and look into misuse of the site or breaches of our terms
• To keep invoices and accounts as Indian tax law requires
• To understand in aggregate how the site is used, so we can improve it
• To measure how our advertising performs, and to show our adverts to people who have visited the store

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are the only analytics and advertising tools on this store; they use cookies and similar technologies to record the events listed above. Some of our partners operate global infrastructure, so your information may be stored or processed outside India; it remains covered by this policy wherever it sits.

Your privacy choices

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you and who we have shared it with, correct anything inaccurate or incomplete, or delete it — except where we are legally required to keep it, such as invoices and accounting records. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to support@zerrahomes.in and we will act on your request within five to seven working days, or tell you why we cannot.

Messages about an order you have placed are part of fulfilling it and can't be switched off while it is in progress. Marketing emails are sent only if you subscribe, and every one carries an unsubscribe link — or simply write to us and we will remove you.

You can limit analytics and advertising measurement at any time by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser, by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by changing your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account.

Security and data retention

Your information sits on Shopify's encrypted infrastructure and travels over HTTPS. Inside Zerra Homes, access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and answer support requests, and our business accounts are protected by two-factor authentication.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than promise otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and notify the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

We keep your information only as long as it is needed. Orders and invoices are retained for as long as Indian tax and company law requires us to keep books of account; support correspondence for up to three years, so we can refer back to an earlier claim; account details while your account is active; and your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe.

Children's privacy

Our store is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, partners or legal obligations change — including before we introduce any new analytics or advertising tool. Material changes will be published here, and the date at the top of the page always shows the current version.

Complaints about how we have handled your information can be addressed to our Grievance Officer, Himanshu Jangid, at the same address, by email at support@zerrahomes.in or on +91 88241 03300. We acknowledge them within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month. If our answer doesn't satisfy you, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
